After she learnt the basics from her primary school teacher, Pakize excelled by trial & error, with the ambition of catching up to her sisters’ knitting skills. Modest about her expertise and seriously passionate about the craft, she turned to knitting professionally to help with her daughters’ education.

Living in a coastal city neighbouring the Black Sea, Pakize’s window looks onto a picture of trees surrounded by hills. Examining the view outside her window, she contemplates the colossal amount of work it would have taken nature to form such an impressive image, bringing all kinds of different elements together.⁠ When her craft is challenging, she finds encouragement there, right outside her window.
